In the coming weeks, we will be launching the most advanced league on the internet. I call it a Dynamic Universe.
I will attempt to explain the gameplay as it currently is intended. Understand, that I am a player (although not very active), and I listen to players so if a better way is out there, we will find it together.

OVERVIEW:
There are 2000 planets in this Dynamic Universe each of which has a unique map. There are upto 200 sectors on each map each with "constructs"(Factories, cities, dropship pads, etc...), terrain, defense and industry values.
You will have a chat area, a command window and a view of the planet your mech or mechs currently reside on.

In a sentence, you goto the map website, choose which planet you want to play on depending if you own several mechs or territories, choose a missions to play or attack other players, then goto the dedicated server. The selected mission will stay on server for a couple hours.

You will click on a adjacent sector to move there, or anywhere in your current territory to move. On each sector you will be able to launch missions, attack enemies, and defend. Missions will increase or decrease the defense value of the sector in question. Missions will also have a mission value in tons that will be added to your bank if you win plus/minus a performance modifier . If you fail, you may lose points!

Each of these missions are played on one of several dedicated servers, which automatically update a database with the results of your mission. Upon taking a mission or attacking/defending you will be given a server name where your mission will be hosted in the next few minutes and the mission value.

We have several servers, so the wait will be very short and you can participate in any mission on any server even without missions assigned. If you see an opponent, help them fail thier mission and steal thier reward! If you find a teammate, help them out and earn a similar reward!

You will start with some money, and will have to purchase a mech. The mechs you own are important in this league. You can also conquer territory, fight wars, and purchase Constructs for industry and defense.

You will start on your choice of Clan, IS, Independant or Team worlds. However, the exact world will be random (unless some team only has 1 world.) This will be your
"Homeworld."

MISSION TYPES:
You will be able to launch one mission to the servers at a time. Each mission will have possibity of assigning prizes from our sponsors to the winner.  However, more realistically, they will always have a tonnage value if you win the mission. 

Each player can use any mech they like, but it is compared to thier "Official" mech and modifiers are applied to your award. Currently, I am considering 1 ton modifier per 5 tons difference to your official mech.


Random Mission:
Depending upon the terrain type, radar and other conditions, you can launch a mission to attack/reinforce the sector that is somewhat random within some conditions. The server sets the conditions. Random Award amount.

Example mission assignment: Tumbleweed-teamdestruction mission on MechReg Gamma server for 5 tons. You may recieve a mission number and password like mission 2034 pass 746.

Challenge Player Misson:
You can attack other players, even teammates for now. The winner gets the tonnage value from the loser. May always be 5 tons. Once a mech is used to challenge another player.. neither player mech will be able to move , attack or defend until the challenge is resolved. Defaulting the challenge may be an option costing maybe 1 ton.

Example mission assignment: Tumbleweed-teamdestruction mission on MechReg Gamma server for 5 tons Dev Lite attacked Spooky, or challenge 1004 pass 765

Note: You may get lucky and attack an abandoned mech. If you win the match, you get the mech!

Battle Mission: (Battle Assault, Battle Defense)
If that planet has a battle pending, you can choose to launch a battle mission as either the attacker or defender. Battle points are automatically deducted from the battle according to the mission outcome, but you must have the battle password to launch the attack and the person who launched the battle identifies to the server which drop is being played,

Awards are based on performance, and pay the most of any battle type. These battles even give stats bonuses.

Battles are scheduled so that both attackers and defenders will be available to play together. ANY planets can use any available players as defenders.  Missions will  be available anywhere on the attacked planet after a schedule has been set and during the last day before expiring (day 10) if the battle is not complete.

Players do not use thier personal mechs in team battles, they use points from the attacking and defending units.

GROUPS :
You may of course join groups, clan, is, and mercenary. We have tons of different group types in the league. When you do, the group will be able to assign you money to improve your mech, but you will forfet all territory to the group.

For instance, Say you are an independant player who wants to start a group. You need 5 players to start one, and upon joining the new group all 5 players territory will become the groups. No approval from anyone is needed.  Existing league groups will keep thier territory, and new "approved" groups will be assigned territory.

I intend on having 4(5?) servers, and more if needed.

Server 1 - Battles Server 1 - where battles and combat missions place (Main Server  - Dual 1.0 Ghz procs)

Server 2 - Battles Server 2 - where battles and combat missions place (Main Server  - Dual 1.0 Ghz procs)

Server 3 - FFA Server - where players can just play for money in any mech they like. (Main Server -  Dual 1.0 Ghz procs)

Server 4 - Solaris Arena Server - where challenges and solaris missions (like CM possibly) are played. (Server 2 - 800 Mhz proc)

Server 5 - Backup/Emergency Server (Server 3 -  800 MHZ proc)

Challenges are against enemy players and are scheduled and a challenge
number and password are assigned.

Defense is a numeric value that indicates the strength of the sector. These
are Team Destruction missions like we currently use. A battle number and
password are assigned and other players on a server can defend or assist
with maybe a short delay before the battle becomes active.

Technology is a numeric value that indicates the contribution to science by
this sector. These maybe steal the beacon or other missions, I don’t know

Attacks/ Defense either increase or decrease the values of these numeric
indicators.

Constructions are things like HPGs, Cities, defensive installations, etc
that can be destroyed in (mission style?) attacks. They are scheduled if
another player or team owns the sector and a battle number and password are
assigned.
